Under the theme of "the Islamic World and the challenges of modernization and development," the conference is expected to come up with resolutions and recommendations for the benefit of the Islamic nation. PUIC is composed of the parliaments of the member states of the OIC. It was established in Iran on June 17, 1999, with its head office located in Tehran.
