North Korea removing loudspeakers from border area

File photo taken in October 2024 shows a loudspeaker in North Korea seen from Paju, South Korea, near the border with the North. South Korea's military said on Aug. 9, 2025, it detected North Korea removing some of its loudspeakers from the inter-Korean border, days after the South dismantled its own front-line speakers used for anti-North Korean propaganda broadcasts.
