Man charmed with Papabubble candies in Spain

TOKYO, Japan - Photo taken Sept. 27, 2013, in Tokyo shows Kiyokazu Kanno making Papabubble candies that originated in Barcelona, Spain, at one of his shops. Intrigued by the charm of the colorful candies, Kanno received two years of candy-making training in Spain and opened his own store eight years ago, currently running a total of five outlets in Tokyo and Yokohama.

Japan names new era "Reiwa"

Candies with the two kanji characters of Japan's new era name, "Reiwa," are put up on sale at a Papabubble shop in Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward on April 1, 2019, shortly after the announcement of the era name.
