40 Municipalities Lack Garbage Collection After A Rúa Fire - Spain

View of the Autoneum Company burned by the fire, in the industrial park of A Rúa, on August 16, 2025, in A Rúa, Ourense, Galicia (Spain). Around 40 municipalities are without waste collection service due to the Larouco fire, which affected the Sogama Ecoplanta, located on the outskirts of the town. This is in addition to the A Gudiña plant, which was also damaged by the fire. Galician industry is being particularly hard hit by the fire: factories, farms and vineyards are burning.
