A state of emergency has been declared in entire Kazakhstan after a fuel price increase has triggered protests across the nation, turning violent in some cities in including Almaty.
Police used tear gas on hundreds of protesters in Almaty late Tuesday, January 4.
The Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA) announced that they will go on a nationwide strike on Thursday, November 25 to demand an increase in the margin on the sale of petroleum products.
Long queues were witnessed at petrol stations across Pakistan including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Karachi after the PPDA's announcement.
