US: Thunderstorms With Damaging Winds Batter North Carolina

Strong storms swept through North Carolina on Monday, June 22, bringing damaging winds and leaving widespread destruction. Tens of thousands of outages were reported across the Winston-Salem and Greensboro areas, with more than 30,000 customers still without power as of Tuesday morning.

TOKYO, Japan - Honda Motor Co. said Dec. 16 it successfully conducted test flights of the HondaJet, a small business jet plane (shown in photo), earlier this month in the United States. The plane, powered by two Honda-developed HF-118 jet engines, made the test flights at Piedmont Triad Airport in North Carolina.
