Sharp Corp. unveils its new Plasmacluster Air Purifier with a built-in mosquito catcher in Osaka on March 17, 2016. The device utilizes UV light to attract mosquitoes before trapping them onto a strong glue sheet as part of its 3-step process to eliminate the insects. The appliance, which has already been released in Southeast Asia, will go on sale in Japan from April 23 where a growing number of consumers are concerned about mosquito-borne diseases.
