The head of government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, said on Twitter that the wounded had been taken to local hospitals, and three of the four people trapped in train cars had been rescued. Victim care teams have been sent to the scene. The crash occurred on Saturday morning on Metro Line 3 between La Raza and Potrero stations. Investigation into the causes of the crash is underway.
