The fair was held at Pragati Maidan, bringing together local and international publishers. The fair is organized by the National Book Trust (NBT), an autonomous organization of the Government of India under the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO). The theme for this year's book fair is Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to commemorate 75 years of India's independence. France is the guest of honor at this year's fair.
