NIIGATA, Japan - Flower arrangements of out-of-season cherry blossoms are on display at a hotel lobby in Niigata on May 29 to welcome foreign soccer fans coming for the World Cup finals. A citizens group created the flower arrangements, using unopened someiyoshino blossoms (Prunus yedoensis) that had been preserved in snow, and displayed them at the hotel where FIFA staff are to stay.
