Remains of 134 WWII Japanese soldiers cremated in Papua

JAYAPURA, Indonesia - Family members of Japanese soldiers who died in New Guinea during World War II pray while the remains of 134 such soldiers are cremated in Puay, a small village on the outskirts of Jayapura, the provincial capital of Papua, in Indonesia, on March 18, 2013. Indonesian forensic experts have confirmed the remains, made up of more than 9,000 bone fragments, belonged to Japanese soldiers who died during the war.
