TOKYO, Japan - Former Foreign Minister Yohei Kono (L) received part of his son's liver in an operation at Shinshu University Hospital in Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture, on April 16. Kono, 65, underwent the operation to treat liver cirrhosis because his hepatitis C has worsened.
