Japan MSDF medical officers on aid mission in Vietnam

QUI NHON, Vietnam - About 40 medical officers from the Japanese Self-Defense Forces, joining members of Japanese nongovernmental groups, attend a ceremony in the Vietnamese port city Qui Nhon on May 31, 2010, to begin medical aid activities for about two weeks under Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama's ''Fraternity Boat'' initiative. The officers arrived at the city earlier in the day to join a U.S. Navy-led medical aid program in the Asia-Pacific region.
