War-displaced Japanese from China confirms kinship

TOKYO, Japan - Wei Qingling, 59, from China's Shangdon Province, shows a family photo at a news conference in Tokyo on Nov. 14, 2001 after he was confirmed to be the nephew of a man from Chiba Prefecture. Wei is one of three war-displaced Japanese from China visiting Japan to search for kin.

The three from left are Chen Jingyun, Zhu Guiqin and Wei Qingling. They will take part in face-to-face meetings starting Nov. 12 with their possible family members.
