RAMALLAH, West Bank - The seat of Palestinian President Yasser Arafat, between former Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas (L) and Prime Minister Ahmed Qurie, is vacant as the executive committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization met at Arafat's headquarters in the West Bank city of Ramallah on Oct. 30, one day after he left for medical treatment in Paris.
