TOKYO, Japan, July 31 Kyodo - A flow chart shows the process of recruiting people for illicit part-time jobs.1) A potential applicant searches for part-time jobs by entering such key phrases as "highly paid jobs" on X and other social media platforms before contacting a group offering illicit jobs.2) The applicant is asked to use high-secrecy apps like Signal for further communication with the group.3) The applicant submits his or her personal data such as ID to the group.4) The group orders the applicant to commit theft and other illegal conduct, threatening to disclose his or her ID if they refuse.(Kyodo)

US: More Than 130 Arrested After UMass Amherst Pro-Palestine Protesters Refuse To Remove Encampment

More than 130 University of Massachusetts Amherst pro-Palestine protesters, including students and faculty members, were arrested on Tuesday night, May 7 after they refused to remove encampment. These demonstrators had set up the second encampment in response to Israel seizing the Rafah crossing.

He tried to come out to his mother when he was twelve but she asked him if he needed to see a doctor, being considered as sick. As a child, his parents would not prevent him to do things considered girly, but his mother would tell him ‘you can do girly things but you can’t be gay’. ‘I tried to laugh about it. People in Miaoli are not exposed to LGBTQIA+ community, so it’s very new to them.Then we didn’t talk about it for many years. When I was twenty I talked to my family again. I told my mother and two sisters that I liked boys. But I didn’t dare to come out to my father. Surprisingly my mother told him and he just said that it was ok.
