SYDNEY, Australia - Romanian gymnast Andreea Raducan (C) has been stripped of her all-round gold medal after testing positive for a drug banned by the International Olympic Committee, IOC executive board member Thomas Bach said Sept. 26. IOC has also expelled and suspended the Romanian team doctor from the next Olympic Games in 2004.

Carrard said Raducan had taken the over-the-counter medicine Nurofen for a cold in all innocence and that she had gained no competitive advantage from the stimulant pseudo-ephedrine that it contained.
