Flash floods hit Ruidoso, New Mexico, on Tuesday, July 8 after heavy rain fell over wildfire burn scars. The Rio Ruidoso rose over 20 feet, flooding homes and the Ruidoso Downs Racetrack. Swift-water rescues were carried out, and no deaths were reported as of Tuesday evening.
