RITTO, Japan - The Japan Racing Association said Aug. 17 racehorses at its training center in Ritto (shown in photo), Shiga Prefecture, along with the training center in Miho, Ibaraki Prefecture, had caught horse flu. JRA said it decided to cancel horse races on Aug. 18 and Aug. 19 to prevent equine influenza from further spreading among racehorses.
