Heavily-armed Israeli soldiers stormed Rujeib town of the city and surrounded a Palestinian house in an attempt to arrest Palestinians inside, official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported. Plumes of smoke were seen rising from the house as loud explosions were heard in the village, eyewitnesses said. The Israeli soldiers entered the village to arrest Nabil Sawalhi and Nehad Awad, two men who were suspected of carrying out a shooting attack against an Israeli military vehicle on Aug. 26.
