The procession involved 48 combat ships and gunboats including the frigate Admiral Gorshkov, the submarine Magadan, and the linear ship Poltava, together with 42 naval aviation aircraft of the Russian Navy and Aerospace Forces, including Be-200 multipurpose amphibious aircraft. At the end of the show, Su-25 ground attack aircraft released fumes in the colors of the Russian national flag. Apart from St. Petersburg, other cities in Russia also held parades to celebrate the day.
