China: Construction Worker Encounters Wild Siberian Tiger in Jilin

This is the heart stopping moment that a Chinese woman narrowly avoided danger when she unexpectedly encountered a wild Siberian tiger during a late-night construction job. On November 30, 2025, in Jilin, China, the video captured a tense encounter inside the Northeast Tiger and Leopard National Park as excavator operator Liu, a Chinese woman, was working outdoors at night. The footage showed a wild Siberian tiger walking steadily toward her work area. The massive animal moved with calm confidence, stopping several times as it fixed its gaze on Liu. Instead, it observed her silently for a prolonged moment before slowly turning around and walking back into the darkness of the forest. Liu later recalled that her heart nearly jumped out of her chest as the tiger stared at her under the night lights. The video ended with the tiger disappearing into the forest while Liu remained still, visibly shaken but unharmed

Amsterdam Protesters Rally for Gaza - Netherlands

Thousands Protest in Central Amsterdam for Gaza, Target U.S. Consulate — Protesters fill central Amsterdam on July 31, 2025, to demand an end to the famine and blockade in Gaza. The demonstration begins with a loud sit-in at Amsterdam Central Station, where participants bang on pots and pans to criticize Western inaction and highlight the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Marchers move through the city waving Palestinian flags, chanting, and stopping outside international franchises such as Starbucks and McDonald’s to call out perceived corporate complicity. At the U.S. Consulate, red paint is thrown on the building’s windows in a symbolic act representing bloodshed, and one protester chains himself to the wall in protest of U.S. policy. The protest remains nonviolent but confrontational, reflecting a growing movement across Europe calling for an end to the Israeli siege and international accountability. File photo - Photo dated May 13, 2023 shows Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky meets Pope Francis. Ukraine has strongly rejected a call by Pope Francis for Kyiv to negotiate an end to its war with Russia and have "the courage to raise the white flag". Ukraine's foreign minister says it will "never raise any other flags" than the country's blue and yellow colours. And the country's President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed the comments as "virtual mediation". A Vatican spokesman later said the Pope was speaking of stopping the fighting through negotiation, not capitulation. -- Pope Francis died on Easter Monday, April 21, 2025, at the age of 88 at his residence in the Vatican's Casa Santa Marta.
