Severe flooding closed major roads across the Greater Toronto Area on Wednesday, September 2, as a powerful storm swept through the region. Roughly 45,000 power outages and flight disruptions at Toronto Pearson International Airport were also reported.

Canada: Toronto TTC Bus Floods on Submerged Road After Storm

Severe weather swept across southern Ontario on Wednesday, September 2, bringing torrential rain, strong winds, and large hail, and prompting tornado watches and warnings in some areas. Several roads, including the Don Valley Parkway, were closed in the area due to flooding, and a TTC bus flooded while driving through a submerged road.

Spain: Floodwater Sweeps Person Down Tarragona Street

A person was swept along by floodwater on Carrer d'Apodaca in Tarragona, Spain, on Monday, August 24, as heavy rain left the street submerged. The video, filmed from a balcony overlooking the flooded road, shows the person being carried by the current as another bystander watches from the sidewalk. No injuries were reported.
