Anami to become Japan's envoy to China

TOKYO, Japan - Foreign Minister Yohei Kono decided Nov. 10 to appoint Koreshige Anami (file photo), director of the Cabinet Councilor's Office on External Affairs, as ambassador to China early next year. Anami, 59, will replace Sakutaro Tanino, 64, who is set to retire.
