3 foreigners pass Japanese national nursing exam

(3)2 die, 2 missing as Niigata, Fukushima caught in heavy rain

SANJO, Japan - A woman comes out of a rubber boat after being rescued from her stranded house in Sanjo, Niigata Prefecture, on July 13. Heavy rain hit Niigata and Fukushima prefectures, leaving two people dead, one injured and two missing. About 16,700 households were ordered or advised to evacuate in Niigata, while ground troops were sent in for disaster prevention efforts.
