Takao Ode, ex-Supreme Court justice, dies at 73

TOKYO, Japan - Takao Ode (file photo), a former justice of the Supreme Court, died of heart failure at his home in Sano, Tochigi Prefecture, on Sept. 29, the Supreme Court said Oct. 2. He was 73. Ode served as a Supreme Court justice from September 1997 to December 2001, when he resigned due to poor health.
