CHIBA, Japan - A Steller sea lion called Fuku is hoisted in a cage by crane at Kamogawa Seaworld in Kamogawa, Chiba Prefecture, on March 21, 2012, to be transported to Aquamarine Fukushima in Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture. Fuku was evacuated to the Chiba aquarium after the March 2011 quake and tsunami, and is the last evacuee of the Fukushima aquarium to be sent home.

KAMOGAWA, Japan - Japan's first dolphin calf (R) produced from artificial insemination is doing well at Kamogawa Seaworld amusement park in Kamogawa, Chiba Prefecture, on Aug. 12. The female bottlenose dolphin named Sunny was born in July 2003 and has grown to 2 meters in length and weighs 140 kilograms.

TOKYO, Japan - A seal puppy is seen swimming in the Tama River near the Maruko Bridge in Tokyo's Ota Ward on Aug. 15. The seal, which is about one meter long, was first seen near the bridge about one week ago. An official at Kamogawa Seaworld in Kamogawa, Chiba Prefecture, said the seal, which usually inhabits the Arctic, may have mistakenly gone south to seek food and strayed into the river.

OSAKA, Japan - Photo taken in San Diego, California, in October 2000 shows three scientists carrying a loggerhead turtle to be released into the Pacific Ocean. Researchers said three turtles released off the coast of San Diego have found their home to Japan where they were originally hatched. One of them -- a male loggerhead nicknamed ''Bubba'' -- has already reached the open sea off eastern Honshu, according to researchers from the San Diego-based Hubbs-SeaWorld Institute.
