Artist to exhibit bird nests in N.Y. for 'hope of new life'

SHIMODA, Japan - Award-winning Japanese artist Mamoru Suzuki, 49, who has collected more than 400 bird nests from around the world, is to hold an exhibition of nests Sept. 5-28 in New York to share with visitors what he sees as a wonder of nature's architecture, as the city marks the first anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.
