Kotomitsuki set for ozeki debut as JSA releases autumn rankings

Kaio in pole position for yokozuna promotion at autumn sumo

TOKYO, Japan - Ozeki Kaio, who won his third Emperor's Cup in July, smiles as he holds a ranking table for the Sept. 9-23 tourney at the Tomozuna stable in Tokyo's Sumida Ward on Aug. 27. In the list released by the Japan Sumo Association earlier in the day, Kaio was awarded the top ozaki position.
