World's 1st karaoke machine

Photo taken in Tokyo on June 12, 2025, shows the world's first karaoke machine, the "Music Box," invented and sold by late Japanese engineer Shigeichi Negishi in 1967. The U.S.-based Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers' Milestones program held a ceremony the same day in the Japanese capital to recognize the machine as a key achievement in the history of technology.
