Arafune Cold Storage added to UNESCO list

MAEBASHI, Japan - Photo taken April 18, 2014 shows the Arafune Cold Storage for silkworm eggs in Shimonita, Gunma Prefecture, which used cold air blowing from underground through gaps between rocks. The facility, called Fuketsu, was added to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list in June 2014, along with the Tomioka Silk Mill and other related sites in the prefecture.
