TOKYO, Japan - Olympic silver medalist Hiroyasu Shimizu receives flowers and a special award from his employer, NEC Corp., on Feb. 28. Shimuzu said he would not undergo surgery for a sore lower back that may have cost him the gold medal at the just-concluded Salt Lake City Winter Olympics.
