KAGOSHIMA, Japan - The salvage ship Shinyo Maru leaves a port of the southern Japanese city of Kagoshima on June 24 to join an operation to raise an unidentified ship that sank in the East China Sea after a shoot-out with Japanese Coast Guard vessels last December. The Sinyo Maru, loaded with a manned submersible vessel, is the second salvage ship to be sent to the East China Sea.

KAGOSHIMA, Japan - The patrol ship Shinyo Maru begins an operation to salvage an unidentified ship which sank in the East China Sea after a shoot-out with coast guard vessels in December 2001 by lowering one of two submersibles into the water June 27.
