The department's prediction includes "heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places in areas of the southern state of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh," as well as heavy rainfall at isolated places in hilly states. Hailstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are also likely to occur over Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Sikkim, and Himachal Pradesh, according to IMD.
