US: Colorado Hit by Hailstorm as Tornado Warning Issued for Denver Area

A hailstorm swept through Colorado on Monday afternoon, June 8. The largest hailstone recorded as of 5 p.m. measured 2.75 inches in Simla, Elbert County. Hailstones of 1.5 inches were also recorded in Arvada and Pinery. The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for parts of northeastern Colorado, including Denver, until 9 p.m.
