TACHIKAWA, Japan - Sixty-seven elementary and junior high school students and their teachers from the island of Miyakejima attend a ceremony Jan. 8 to begin their third semester at the former Akikawa High School in Akiruno, western Tokyo. They were evacuated from the island in 2000 due to volcanic eruptions.
