Winter patrolling here used to be extremely hard due to the mountain's height, dense forest, heavy snow, and enormous patrol areas. Inspired by alpine skiing, a team of 20 forest police officers now patrol the Songjianghe National Forest Park by skiing. Famous for its long snow season and powder snow, Changbai Mountain in Jilin province has long been an ideal place for skiing. It has become a major destination for ski enthusiasts all over China, thanks to the soaring interest in winter sports fueled by Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.
