Philippines: Kanlaon Volcano Erupts And Spews Ash Plume

Two consecutive ash emissions from Kanlaon Volcano occurred on Monday morning, December 2. The plumes rose 400 to 600 meters high and drifted northwest. Due to increasing unrest, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology elevated Kanlaon Volcano's status to Alert Level 2.
