Shinkawa Electric's vibration monitoring sensor "Zerk X8

The connected sensors acquire analog data such as temperature, pressure, water level and flow rate as well as vibration. The data is sent via wireless LAN to an antenna several dozen meters away. The data is collected in the "Machine Dossier" cloud system. The data is displayed in an easy-to-understand manner using graphs and other data. Amazon's Amazon Web Services (AWS) is used as the system infrastructure. The data can be easily viewed on smartphones and other devices. The annual fee for using the system is 48,000 yen (excluding consumption tax) for each eight-point sensor. The new linear test vehicle unveiled by JR Tokai

The current test vehicle, the L0 Series, is the first commercial version and recorded the world's fastest speed of 603 km/h in 2003. The improved test car shown to the public has a new top shape. In the L0, the front lighting and forward vision camera on the top of the car were moved to the top. Another feature of the L0 is that the gas turbine power generator required for the test line has been eliminated, and only the induction current collection system, which is the target for the commercial specification, is used to supply electricity. Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation's truck assembly line at Kawasaki Plant

By the end of 2019, Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corp. will test a new engine assembly line at its main Kawasaki plant (Nakahara-ku, Kawasaki City) that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to assemble engines to various specifications in a single line. The company currently has separate lines for small and medium/large engines, and will test the efficiency of the new line. In the future, Mitsubishi Fuso will consider introducing the system to vehicle assembly lines that are divided into light-duty and medium-duty trucks. Mitsubishi Fuso is promoting a "multi-directional line layout (multi-directional line)" to improve production efficiency. A multi-directional line is a production system that optimizes operations by using AI to divide unique processes for each specification from the main line when complex processing is required according to regulations or demand in the destination country.
