US: Ex-Typhoon Halong Wreaks Havoc in Alaska, Hundreds Evacuated

Remnants of Typhoon Halong caused catastrophic flooding in western Alaska, destroying homes in Kipnuk and Kwigillingok, killing one person, and displacing over 1,400 residents. Mass evacuations began Wednesday, October 15, as hundreds were airlifted to Anchorage for shelter.
