Time-honored Beppu hotel to apply for court protection

OITA, Japan - Photo shows the five-star Suginoi Hotel in the Beppu hot spring resort in Oita Prefecture, southwestern Japan, which announces May 3 it will seek court protection from creditors to keep its doors open in the face of imminent bankruptcy.
