This is the 23rd consecutive year for local railway bureau to launch the train for rice growers. The railway bureau has operated 16 such special train trips from April 30 to May 15. This year, about 15,000 agricultural workers in the Suihua area of Heilongjiang Province went to the Sanjiang Plain for spring ploughing production. Spring ploughing is an important source of income for local farmers. In 2000, the local railway bureau launched the first special train for rice growers and has transported nearly 1.8 million so far.
