Turkey: Gaza-Bound Aid Flotilla Arrives in Marmaris After Israeli Interception

The Global Sumud Flotilla arrived in Marmaris, Turkey, on Sunday, May 10, after being intercepted by Israeli forces near Crete on April 29. The 38-vessel convoy, which departed Barcelona on April 15 carrying nearly 300 activists, was forced to dock for technical maintenance and resupply. Entry procedures and forensic examinations are underway for returning activists, while Turkish prosecutors have launched an investigation into the interception. Officials say the flotilla plans to set sail again on Wednesday to resume its mission of delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza.
