Shoukry made the remarks during a meeting with Dafalla Al-Haj Ali, the envoy of Sudan's Sovereignty Council, in the capital Cairo. The minister reaffirmed the importance of reaching an immediate ceasefire to protect the Sundanese civilians and implementing the truce with no violation, said a statement from the ministry. Calling on warring factions to abide by the ceasefire, Shoukry said only by doing so can a lull be created to conduct humanitarian relief operations and pave the road for a serious dialogue to settle differences.
