Polish literary and media figures publish book on Japan

WARSAW, Poland - Four distinguished literary and media figures in Poland have published a book introducing Japanese culture to the country. Andrzej Wajda (R), noted film director and honorary Oscar award recipient, and leading photographer Adam Bujak, gave a news conference Jan. 17 in Warsaw showing the book titled ''Charmed by Japan.'' Nobel laureate poets Czeslaw Milosz and Wislawa Szymborska also helped in creating the book.

KRAKOW, Poland - Polish poet Wislawa Szymborska, the 1996 Nobel Prize winner for Literature, gave an interview with Kyodo News in Krakow, Poland. Szymborska wrote a poem ''Photograph from Sept. 11'' about two weeks after the terrorist attacks in the United States.
