TOKYO, Japan - The Japanese government said on Sept. 29 it has picked Japan Business Federation Chairman Fujio Mitarai (top, L), Uichiro Niwa (top, R), chairman of trading house Itochu Corp., Naohiro Yashiro (bottom, L), professor of economics at International Christian University, and Takatoshi Ito (bottom, R), a professor at the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Economics, as new private-sector representatives on its powerful Council on Economic and Fiscal Policy.
