TOKYO, Japan - Calligraphers create name bars for new House of Representatives members for use in the lower house's plenary chamber. Nine calligraphers from Nushisa Seisakusho, a lacquered tableware company in Tokyo's Taito Ward, on Sept. 2, 2009 worked on completing the bars for a total of 158 new lower house members by Sept. 9, company president Eiji Takemata said. The next parliamentary session is to begin Sept. 16.
