US: Businesses Evacuated as Vegetation Fire Breaks Out Near San Diego River in Santee

On Sunday, March 29, the Santee Fire Department responded to a vegetation fire near the San Diego River in Santee. Walmart, Michaels, and other nearby businesses were evacuated, though no residential evacuations were ordered, and forward progress was halted. No injuries or structural damage were reported, and the cause of the fire remained under investigation.

Philippines: Super Typhoon Fung-wong Causes Flooding and Leaves Damage 2

Fung-wong, known locally as Uwan, made landfall around 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 9 in Aurora Province, with winds of around 185 km/h. Over a million people had evacuated as heavy rains and strong winds cut power across Luzon. At least 18 people were killed, according to reports. This video shows damage left by the typhoon in San Fabian.
