Canada: Severe Storm Brings Tornado and Mass Power Outages to Southern Manitoba

A tornado touched down near Ste. Anne in southern Manitoba on Tuesday night, June 9, as a severe storm system swept through the province, leaving more than 25,000 customers without power, including nearly 17,000 in Winnipeg. Footage shows what appears to be a tornado forming, caught in Winnipeg near James Armstrong Richardson International Airport at around 8:00 p.m.
