Archer brought the collage work to Prague to mark the 50th anniversary of Palach's death. Archer said he displayed the collage in his residence shortly before Christmas. He said he revealed Tilson's work in the art collections of the British government more than a year ago, but he was not happy that the collage was in an office of the Department for Transport in the town of Derby. He felt that this work of art belonged to Prague. Palach, a student of the Charles University's Faculty of Arts, set himself on fire in Prague on January 16, 1969 in protest against people's growing lethargy following the August 21, 1968 Soviet-led invasion of Czechoslovakia.
